Two elastic bands run across the hips, held together by a pair of metal O-rings that sit right at the front where they catch the light. From there the fabric breaks into straps โ open triangles across the sides, and at the back two bands that curve around the outside of each cheek and leave everything between them bare. Cotton, so it is comfortable enough to actually wear rather than only photograph.

Fabric: 94.3% cotton, 5.7% spandex, with a cotton-lined crotch. Breathable and lightly stretchy, with a low-rise, close fit.
Hand wash cold, or machine wash cold in a mesh laundry bag. Wash red separately for the first few washes. Do not bleach. Line dry or lay flat โ do not tumble dry. Avoid ironing near the metal rings.

A jockstrap. The straps run around the outside of each cheek rather than between them, so there is nothing in the cleft and the seat is completely bare.
Do the metal rings dig in?
No. They sit at the front on the waistband, well away from the body's pressure points, and they are smooth on the inner edge.
